Studies have shown that after 50 years old, women have almost a one-in-two chance of suffering an osteoporosis-related fracture in their lifetime. This is largely due to the fast declining estrogen levels in menopausal women that can trigger rapid bone loss which can set the stage for a fracture. The only way to conquer osteoporosis is by learning more about it and working with your doctor to treat it.
